Frequently asked questions
How quotes, assessments and security arrangements work.
These answers are general information. The services, hours and staffing for your site are always confirmed in writing as part of your arrangement.
Getting a quote
How do I request a security quote?
Fill in the quote form with what you need, where and when. The more detail you give, the more accurate the first response can be. You can also contact us directly using the details on the contact page.
What information should I provide?
The site address or postcode, the type of premises, the service you are interested in, the days and hours you need covering, your preferred start date and anything specific that is worrying you, such as recent incidents.
Is there a charge for a quote?
Requesting a quote does not commit you to anything. Any costs are set out in writing before an arrangement is agreed.
Coverage and arrangements
Which types of premises can you cover?
Enquiries are welcome for commercial offices, retail premises, construction sites, residential developments, warehouses, industrial units, vacant properties and events. Whether a particular site can be covered is confirmed once we understand its requirements.
Can I arrange short-term or long-term security?
Both can be discussed, from a single event or a few nights' cover to an ongoing contract. Tell us the timescale when you get in touch.
Which areas do you cover?
We are based in Reading and work across Berkshire and surrounding areas. If your site is further afield, ask us and we will tell you whether we can help.
Assessment and staffing
How are security requirements assessed?
We start by understanding the site, how it is used, what has happened before and what you are trying to prevent. Depending on the site, this may include a visit. The proposed level of cover follows from that assessment.
How are staffing and coverage agreed?
Duties, hours and the number of officers are agreed with you in writing before cover starts, and set out in assignment instructions for the officers on site. They can be reviewed if your needs change.
Are your officers licensed?
Many security roles carried out under contract require a front-line licence from the Security Industry Authority (SIA). The licence needed depends on the activity. Officers carrying out licensable activities must hold the appropriate licence, and you can check any licence holder on the SIA's public register.
Still have a question?
Send us your question with your quote request and we will answer it when we get back to you.
