About this service

Keyholding means you no longer have to send a member of staff to an alarm activation in the middle of the night. Your keys are held securely, and an officer attends when your alarm is triggered.

On arrival, the officer checks the premises, deals with what they find according to agreed instructions, and resets or secures the building where possible.

Where it is used

  • Offices, shops and industrial premises
  • Sites with monitored intruder or fire alarms
  • Businesses whose keyholders live some distance away

What it gives you

  • No staff called out at night to unknown situations
  • Keys held securely and logged
  • A report after every attendance

How to arrange it

Tell us the address, alarm type and who currently responds. We will explain how keys are handed over, stored and used, and agree the response procedure.
