About this service
Good event security is planned well before the doors open. We work with organisers to understand the venue, expected attendance and the type of audience, and agree how entry, searches, crowd flow and incidents will be handled.
On the day, security staff work to the event plan and alongside your stewards, venue staff and any other agencies involved.

Event security: questions
General information only. Specific arrangements are confirmed in writing for each site.
Do event security staff need a door supervisor licence?
It depends on the event. Staff carrying out licensable activities, such as guarding or screening at licensed premises when contracted, need the appropriate SIA licence. Which licence applies depends on the venue and the duties. We will confirm the requirements for your event.
How far in advance should I book?
As early as you can. Larger events, and events with licensing conditions, need more planning time.
Can you help with the event risk assessment?
We can contribute security input to your planning. Overall responsibility for the event plan and risk assessment usually sits with the organiser and venue.
